- Pour 30 ml each of orange juice, pineapple juice and lemon juice, plus 5 ml of grenadine, into a shaker.
- Fill the shaker with ice cubes and shake hard for about 10 seconds.
- Strain into the glass and top with about 60 ml of chilled soda water.
- Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a cocktail cherry.
Tips
- Shaking the pineapple juice gives the drink a light foam on top; pour the soda water gently so it stays.
- Fresh lemon juice matters here: it balances the sweetness of the pineapple and the grenadine.
- Some recipes skip the soda water and serve the shaken juices in a coupe without ice.
History
Little is documented about the origin of the Cinderella, named after the fairy-tale heroine. Its mix of equal parts orange, pineapple and lemon juice is a common alcohol-free option on bar menus.
